Kurtis Oliver from Hooksett, NH

1.) Why do you deserve to be the SoxSpace Fan of the Week?

19 yrs

3.) Most treasured moment as a Red Sox fan
I went to Atlanta to watch the sox play the braves and me and my brother snuk by the security guard to get an autograph from Terry Francona

4.) Favorite team (year) and why?
2004- They broke the curse!

Michael Ferreira from Coventry, RI

1. I deserve to be red sox fan of the week cause I am a huge fan and by this I mean I have a lot of red sox hats and you could ask me anything about the red sox and I would know it, which has lead me to the nickname of fever pitch because I always wear a red sox shirt on red sox game days I have three different jersey's that I wear for each game depending on the starter and I am one of the most superstitious fans ever i mean if i don't get my jersey on before the first pitch is thrown i won't wear it cause i believe it will be bad luck.

2. I've been a fan of the red sox since i believe the year of 1996 when we were a decent team not really good but decent and Mo Vaughn and Nomar Garciaparra were on the team along with jeff frye and troy o leary and jose offerman that was a good year. so basically i have been a fan for 12 years so far.

3. My most treasured moment of being a red sox fan had to be the game i went to in 2000 which was roger clemens vs pedro martinez it was the only meeting those two ever had in the regular season and it was at yankee stadium. It was on may 28th of that year and it was memorible for me cause it was the first game i ever went to and also it was awesome to watch with both pitchers going 9 innings and it being a 0-0 contest and in the 9th inning trot nixon hitting a 2 run home run for the red sox to win the game. Also after the game how I had all my red sox stuff on and I got a lot of respect from yankee fans for walking around and being proud of my team.

4.My favorite team was the red sox of 2003 as much as I wasn't a fan of grady little i loved every single player on the team that year with kevin millar at first with todd walker at 2nd and nomar at short and bill mueller at third. Also with manny in left and johnny in center and trot in right. Also the starting rotation was good with pedro, derek lowe, john burkett, tim wakefield, and it was between casey fossum and jeff suppan for the last spot. Along with ortiz and jeremy giambi at DH. The reason why i loved this team so much was because nomar was my favorite player and i liked everyone on this team no offense to the 04 but this team was the start of the idiots and i believe if we weren't robbed in game 7 against the yankees we would of broke the curse in 03 and then went back to back in 04 but i just saw the most potential out of this team that year and also i wanted to see nomar get a ring. The only thing though i didn't like about this team was byung-hyun kim who they should of never traded shea hillenbrand for.

Melissa & Josh Gacek from Orlando, FL

1.) Why do you deserve to be the SoxSpace Fan of the Week?
I am a die hard fan, but I'm sure everyone says that. I love the team and even made my own scrubs to wear to teach in. Plus, I am assuring that my son will be just as big a fan as his mom!

2.) How long have you been a Red Sox fan for?
I have been a Red Sox fan my entire life. I was "born into it."

3.) Most treasured moment as a Red Sox fan
My most treasured moment as a Red Sox fan was in Sept. of 1999. It was the first time I got to see a game at Fenway Park. Growing up in Florida and only getting to see the team when they play in Miami and Tampa, you never get to be the home team. It was amazing!

4.) Favorite team (year) and why?
My favorite team is the 2007 team. They won the series the same year my son was born. He slept with his Wally doll signed my Jerry Remy every night that post season. His grandpa swears he was a good-luck charm. It was the first, of hopefully many more to come, World Series I can share with my son.

SSG Daniel Gagnon from Rochester, NH

My name is SSG Daniel Gagnon and I am 23. I was born and raised in Rochester, New Hampshire. I am currently in Iraq...again. I should be home in a couple of weeks, hopefully, if everything goes well.
I believe I should be the fan of the week because I've always been a Sox fan. I watched them win the 2004 World Series in a bar in Germany at 3 am. I've got a tattoo on my leg and my computer room is slammed full of Red Sox gear. I've now turned my wife and daughter into Sox fans but it took some time. Every patrol I have been on I have had my Red Sox mug with nothing but Dunkin' Donuts coffee. I only drink the best.
I have been a Red Sox fan since day 1. I remember playing wiffle ball in the backyard saying I was Mike Greenwell.
Most treasured Red Sox moment would have to be my first game in 1991. It is a very vague memory but I remember my father bringing me.
Favorite team would have to be the 2004 with the exception of Johnny Damon because he's a sellout. They won the series, you have to love that year.
Thanks for allowing me the chance to be the Fan of the Week.

Dana Patrick Taylor from San Diego (by way of Boston)

1.) Why do you deserve to be the SoxSpace Fan of the Week?
Because though I live in CA while serving my country in the USMC, and I wake up for every game, including 3am for the Japan games. While I still bust every yankees fans balls that I see. I love my SOX and have them tatted on my body.

2.) How long have you been a Red Sox fan for?
I have been a fan all my life, but follwing them faithfully since the first grade.

3.) Most treasured moment as a Red Sox fan?
Going to game three and four of the 04 series in St. Louis, seeing the boys of summer finally win.

4.) Favorite team (year) and why?
I would have to say the 1986 team. Why is because the first game I ever saw in Fenway Park was on April 29, 1986. Seeing Fenway was unbelievable, never mind seeing Roger striking out 20 Mariners and seeing history made.

Nicole from Somerville, MA

I deserve to be Soxspace fan of the week because I am a die hard sox fan. Even though we didn't go all the way this year I am still a fan and will always be a fan. Win or lose I love the Red Sox. Red sox are a family and the fans are the extended family.

Since I was only 3. My great uncle Albert was a BIG fan and he got me into the Red Sox. He ALWAYS watched the games. Although he never got to see them win a WS he got to watch from above in Heaven.

Definatly 2004 WS win. It was great and I cried when they won.

It is a toss up between 2004,2007 and 1986.

Sgt. Jonathan Wiley from Saugus, MA

Hi SoxSpace,
My name is SGT Jonathan Wiley. I am from Saugus, MA but, I am stationed in Mannheim Germany serving in the Army. I am 25 and I deserve to be the Sox fan of the week because even though I am stationed in Germany I still watch the Sox with a 7 hour time difference even when I got to work the next morning. I am a die hard fan. I have been a Red Sox fan my whole life. I grew up in Saugus my whole life and it has been told to me since I was little the Red Sox are great and the Yankees suck. The most treasured moment would be from the picture I attached because when you're little your whole life you want to be seen on the screen at Fenway and it was unbelievable that my name appeared on the screen. Also my favorite year would have to be 2007 because thats when that picture was taken plus we won that year and a month prior to that I had just come home from a 16 month tour in Afghanistan. Thank you SoxSpace for taking the time to read this.
