Ken Griffey Jr.

Just saw on the ESPN Ticker on the bottom of the screen that KG Jr won't be with the White Sox next year.....no word as to where he'll be, we don't really need another glove for the outfield, but he'll be a good glove and bat to snatch up in the off season. Wonder where he'll go, any thoughts?

The Rays were a potential trade partner with the Reds midseason this year before he ended up with the White Sox. In Tampa, he could DH regularly and only have to be used in the outfield here and there. In addition, wind and weather wouldn't knock down possible home runs balls, giving him the opportunity to pad his career home run stats and begin a quest for a ring -- something he does not have and has never really come close to.

Well, he's my favorite player, so I hope he joins the Red Sox, but i don't think that would happen. He should DH for someone to raise his batting stats, hopefully not for the Rays or Yankees, though. This guy would be the homerun king right now if he wasn't injury plagued. It's sad how that happened to a guy who plays baseball the way it should be played. He has the prettiest swing in baseball, too. I do want a Griffey Red Sox jersey, though, so play shortstop Ken. hahaha.
A man has to have goals— for a day, for a lifetime— and that was mine, to have people say, "There goes Ted Williams, the greatest hitter who ever lived."

Yes he does, he's one of the few that were true to the game, future Hall of Famer for sure. Plus he's a southpaw! I think he wants to play a year or two more, to try and win a WS, but he's got to get the right team to look at him, I think he needs to stay in the AL and just DH. And I agree a domed stadium would suit him better, for his wants, Tampa wouldn't be a bad place for him. I don't really want him to go there personally, but I do think he deserves the chance to be on a better team that has a better hope to go much less win the WS next year or 2.

he is one of the true players of the game has the talent, the swing, everything.....
just not the team.
id like him to see him on a world series contender and like txbosox said a dome would suit him better.
but personally please not the rays.
